CHRO Readiness Course: Becoming a Board Member

In recent years, board compensation committees have expanded their purview to include talent management strategy for the organizations they serve.  This focus has opened the door to more frequent and substantial interactions with CHROs. This has also opened up new opportunities for CHROs and senior HR professionals.

Join senior board consultants Jannice Koors and Susan Sandlund for this interactive 90-minute course designed to help CHROs and HR directors embrace this change by understanding the career path toward board service and — as part of that journey — learn to communicate with the board effectively.

Attendees will gain:

  • An understanding of what a compensation committee does
  • A grasp of what characteristics would make them attractive to the board
  • A chance to “practice’ during an organized “roleplay” and much more!

Program Outline

  • Time commitment: 90 minutes
  • First 30 minutes: Overview
  • Second 30 minutes: Roleplay
