The Director Diversity Initiative (DDI) at the University of North Carolina School of Law works to increase the representation of women, people of color, and others who would add diversity to corporate boards of directors. The DDI maintains a database of potential diverse directors and provides free searches for those interested in adding diverse candidates to the nominee pool. There were six board placements out of fifteen searches in 2020, including four public companies.
