One of the most well-known names in board education, TK brings four decades of corporate governance experience to the conversation, beginning with a 20-year career with the publicly held Wilmington Savings Fund Society. He helped launched the What Directors Think study in 2002 when he was president and CEO of Board Member Inc., the original publisher of Corporate Board Member magazine.
Following the sale of CBM to the New York Stock Exchange in 2010, TK served as chairman of NYSE Governance Services for five years.
In 2015, he started Boardroom Resources and launched a web show titled “Inside America’s Boardrooms,” which Diligent acquired in 2017. Today, his weekly show reaches a global audience, featuring interviews with sitting directors and boardroom movers and shakers.
In her role as Executive Director of the Diligent Institute, the think tank and global governance research arm of Diligent Corporation, Dottie provides thought leadership on governance, cybersecurity, and technology topics through presentations to boards and executives dozens of times each year at events around the globe. She is co-author of the book, “Governance in the Digital Age: A Guide for the Modern Corporate Board Director,” ©2019, John Wiley & Sons, and she co-hosts the fortnightly show, The Corporate Director Podcast.
Dottie brings over 20 years’ experience in governance-related roles, including serving as a director, officer, committee chair, senior executive, governance consultant and trainer for private, public, and nonprofit boards.
Melanie is research editor for Corporate Board Member magazine and the director of research for parent company, Chief Executive Group. She oversees custom and proprietary research projects across the firm’s communities of C-Suite and board members and produces actionable intelligence to provide benchmarking and best practices insights on how leadership teams and their boards can navigate current challenges and plan for the future.
Melanie has been a key contributor to Chief Executive’s CEO & Senior Executive Compensation Report for Private Companies, an annual 2-volume benchmarking report with over 140,000 data points that helps companies structure the most competitive compensation programs, and has led our annual What Directors Think research program since joining the firm in 2015.
