Since 2008, the American College of Corporate Directors credentials have represented the “gold standard” in corporate director education, and those executives who earn them are highly valued in the board community. To earn American College of Corporate Directors Professional Director status, an individual must accumulate a set number of credits earned by attendance at certain ACCD and Corporate Board Member programs and events.
Executives not currently serving on a company board (and without any previous public company board experience)
Requirements:
Complete Director Fundamentals Program, including 3-month, self-paced online coursework and a 3-hour virtual fundamentals workshop
Renewal:
For executives who currently serve on a privately held company board

For executives who currently serve on a publicly traded board, or have served on a public company board within the past 5 years

For executives that have held a Professional Director-Private Company credential for one year – requirements must be achieved annually to maintain credential status
